Andong trip

Andong is an Indonesian horse carriage that can carry 4 persons to go around the village and give you up-close experience with the real Indonesian life. During the 1.5 hours trip the andong-driver will take you go through the beautiful ricefields, visit Tembi Cultural Village or the pottery-village Kasongan. If you wish you can stop and mingle with the local farmers to see (and even try) the way they grow or harvest the crops. 


Cycling trip

Since our location is in the rural peaceful area you can take a walk or cycle around and enjoy the scenery of the ricefields and village life. We can help you to rent a bicycle of your choice.


Tembi Cultural Village

Tembi is a charming village located around 2 km from Villa Rosseno. This village was once heavily damaged by a big earthquake that hit Jogjakarta in 2006. From the ruin the local people rebuilt their neigbourhood and now becomes it a prominent cultural centre in the city. There is a cultural house with museum in Tembi Restaurant.


Kadongan Pottery Village

Kasongan has been known for pottery since at least 1675, according the local lor, when a figure known as Kyai Song first set up a shop. Today the village, locatedcabout 7 km south of Jogjakarta City, is the home of a lot of pottery businesses that employ many people. When you enter the area, you will be welcomed with a big red gate with the sign says “Desa Wisata Kasongan”. 

The Kraton of Yogyakarta Palace.

The Kraton is a palace complex. It is the official seat of the reigning Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family. It also serves a center of Javanese culture, and some areas of it are open for public and are used for a museum. 

Taman Sari Waterpalace

This is the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. Taman Sari means in de Javanes language “Beautiful Garden”. It is build in the mid-18th century. Since 1995, the Yogyakarta Palace including the Taman Sari has been listed as a tentative World Heritage Site. 


Malioboro Street

Is the major shopping street of Yogyakarta with al lot of shops, hotels and restaurants. Sidewalks on both sides of the street are crowded with small stalls selling a variety of goods.

Ratu Boko

Ratu Boko is located about 3 km south of the Prambanam Temple Complex. It is situated at the top of a hill 196 meters above seelevel. Ratu Boko remains a palace. The legend said that this was once a palace for Ratu Boko, the father of Princess Lara Jonggrang. It was built during the 8th century AD by the Buddhist Syailendra Dynasty but then the Hindu Mataram kings took over the place. 

Kotagede
Looking for fine pieces of silver juwelry? In Kotagede you will find silver craftsmen displaying their beautiful collections in their workshop. In some workshops you can experience the silver crafting precess ditectly. The neigbourhood of Kotagede itself is historic. It contains the remains of the first capital of Matamaram Sultanate Palace, established in the 16th century. 



Parangtritis Beach
Parangtritis is located 27 km south of Yogyakarta an d is easily accessible by public transport. Parangritis Beach is closely related to the legend of Ratu Kidul (Queen of the south sea). Many Javanese people believe that Parangritis Beach is the gate of Ratu Kidul’s magical kingdom who controls the southern sea. 




Merapi Mountain
Mount Merapi, which is situated within straight line which also vonnects the Palace of Yogyakarta and the Indian Ovean. It holds an important role in the Javanese society. The three places are believed to be a cosmologic trinity. All of them are closely connected to eachother. Merapi is believed to symbolize fire, the Indian Ocean to symbolize water while the Palace is the balance between the two. 

Gunung Kidul Karst area trip

Pindul Cave
Pindul is a cave a part of the magnificient seven cabre in Gunung Kidul katst area. It has a underground river that flowing inside, in which visitors can have about 45 to 60 minuted cave tubing journey across the darkness of the cave. There is no special preparation needed. The organizer will provide lifebelt, life vest and a headlamp. The calm current makes it save for everyone, even for children. The best time for cubing is in the morning around 9 or 10 when the temperature of the water feels just right. 





Pantai Timang
Timang Beach offers exotic vieuws with rocky formation along the shore. It lies between Siung and Sundak Beach. For the adrenaline junkies, you have to try to ride a gondola on Timag Beach. Made entirely from wood and ropes the gondola ride is hand operated with the help of a clever pulley system whoch connects the mainland to a smaller rocky island sone 20 meters offshore called Watu Panjang which is also home to thousands of lobsters.



Gua Jomblang
Jomblang is a verticale cave with dense ancient forest below. A 300 meter alley with its beautiful natural ornament will brimg you to the edge of Gua Grubug, a place where you can see light from heaven.

Breccia Cliffs
 it is new. Officially established since mid-2015. Before that this area was long abandoned a mining area. But the community around famous creative people is using it to become an exotic tourist spot. And it is true, because of their creativity, one of these geological resources has become a popular tourist spot in Yogyakarta.
